Our Story
Together, we can bridge divisions, heal wounds, and empower our neighbors to thrive.
Healing Bridges was created to serve as an inclusive community resource for the greater Clemson area. In 2019, Fort Hill Presbyterian Church identified mental health care as a growing community need and began exploring ways the church could help support expanded quality counseling services.

Church members conducted research and met with mental health practitioners to better understand both the need for services and the barriers individuals face when seeking care. From these conversations emerged the vision for a counseling center with a tiered fee structure designed to bridge divisions, promote healing, and empower neighbors to thrive.
What began as a local congregation’s commitment to community care has grown into a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality mental health counseling and support for individuals and families in Clemson, Central, and Pendleton—regardless of their ability to pay.
Our vision is to provide excellent clinical counseling to all: those who have financial resources and, because we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, those with limited resources.
Healing Bridges is possible only through the participation, support, and financial contributions of our Central, Clemson, and Pendleton extended community.
